Safety Donatello Series 2 is equipped with Diapath's innovative E.V.A. Emergency eVoluted Alghorithm system. The E.V.A. Emergency eVoluted Alghorithmis the world's first virtual intelligence algorithm for tissue processing ever implemented; an intelligent system based on advanced algorithms that can manage and resolve potential emergencies during sample processing to preserve tissue quality and predictive and prognostic markers.
Donatello Series 2 is also equipped with the innovative SelfCheck+ technology designed to reduce the occurrence of adverse events during tissue processing. SelfCheck+ performs an in-depth inspection of sensitive parts of the instrument and alerts the user in the event of a malfunction by enabling precautionary action for sample safety.
Traceability Donatello Series 2 guarantees integrated traceability of all operations and processing data (protocols, users), tanks (exchange, batches), tissue processor (alarms).Thanks to the external barcode reader, all information can be tracked and integrated on the barcode printed on the cartridge for complete sample traceability.
Safe reagent substitution The Donatello Series 2 RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system allows the recognition of reagent tanks, thus avoiding human errors during reagent exchange. This procedure is incredibly faster and safer than manual reagent exchange.
Increased productivity Donatello Series 2 optimises productivity: with a capacity of 405 samples and thanks to the integrated FPS (Fast Processing System), the processing time for small biopsies is significantly reduced: these can be processed in less than an hour with both traditional reagents and Diapath's green alternative, Ottix.
Bubbling technology Donatello Series 2 performs an innovative reagent mixing procedure during reagent stop into the SPC, which ensures the same reagent concentration gradient at every point of the SPC.
Simple and intuitive software The Donatello Series 2 features new user-friendly, icon-based software that allows for quick and easy instrument control. It also features LEDs for each tank position to guide users through the reagent change steps.
Environmentally friendly Donatello Series 2 enables tissue processing by replacing toxic solvents with environmentally friendly ones such as Ottix, Diapath's patented reagent. The complete Ottix solution consists of Ottix Plus and Ottix Shaper, which are specifically designed to replace both xylene and alcohol weight in processing and staining protocols in anatomic pathology.
